We'd like to use tablets to show Powerpoint presentations to a group of people. Think of a business meeting where each person has a tablet. To prevent distractions, we want the meeting leader to control the other tablets -- he/she would run the meeting by somehow commanding the Powerpoint slides to change in sync on all of the other tablets. This could be done by either remotely controlling the viewer apps, or by streaming the individual images as needed. The leader could run with a notebook PC or a tablet - whatever makes sense. Anyone know of a way to do this? FYI, this is a real business need -- currently using unconnected iPads -- "OK, everyone turn to the next slide . . ." You can imagine what actually goes on in the meetings. We get deer-in-the-headlights reaction from Apple Store sales people when we ask for help in finding an app on that platform (duh!) Thanks Jim
I know with Macs there are some administrative tools that let you control the other computers on a network. Seems like that is what you want, like a Remote Administrator Tool for ipads, and control multiple ipads. Maybe you could broadcast the presentation over a network server or something, I think that's what this is talking about for Microsoft powerpoint: Broadcasting PowerPoint Presentations over the Network - Office 2000 Resource Kit - Microsoft Office
