Prestige 10 Tablet

I just purchased the Prestige 10 Android tablet and I cant' figure out how to plug the ear buds in that came with it...the only hole that looks to be the right size is a little too small? Another problem that I have is with the static at all time, can anyone help with either one of these problems??
