Problem Setting Up Tablet

Hi there,
I would be very grateful if someone could please assist me in setting up my 8yr old son's Android 4.1 tablet. I have never used a tablet before and have no idea where to start!

For starters, I typed in the Admin Password on the back of my wi-fi router to the tablet, but it said there was an Authentication Problem ..... that is as far as I have got.

My son will mainly be using his tablet to play games on such as Friv and connect to the school based ones, so I really need to know how to go about setting things up so it is secure and safe for him to use.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you

My guess is you need the SSID which stands for Service Set ID, it is a unique network name. When you setup your router, you used a name you selected or the router used a long cryptic name. Either way, you should have written this down for future use.
