well if you see the blue CM7 skateboard, that means you've installed CM7, so now you are probably looking at a ADW launcher screen - all is good

now go to settings, and make sure your wifi can connect
then install gapps next (reboot into recovery, install from zip)
just follow the prompts to install the other apps (google maps, gmail, facebook etc..)

at this point i would do a backup so you have a pristine working install as a backup before starting to customize
my first customization step is to download zeam and use that as my launcher

reset / factory data in cwr, ran an uninstall cwr off my bootable sd card and hit reboot.
Now I have a cyanogen mod 7 android on a skateboard. WTF.
Its at the home screen now. WTF.
ok, so im on the custom rom now... and scared. What should I do ?

1. I don't have the android app store
Going to try and reboot to recovery and install googleapps.zip again :-(

Found the CM7 nook gapps.zip from xda, all good. They are all up and running.
Downloaded zeam launcher. Much nicer and easier to use. Thank you.
Coming from the world of iOS I am digging the widgets and live backgrounds, but I will have to do alot of poking around for the settings.
any other tips and tricks / apps I should look out for ?
Again, really appreciate everything guys, it has really paid off.
