programms freezing, not responding

I have problems with (several) programms freezing or "not responding" in ICS C91 is it a compability problem with ICS or related to the C91?
Is there any good Music/Video player on the market that is suitable for C91? or do we doomed to be stocked with the native one?
Photo loading in galery is soooooooooooooo slow, any idea how to increase loading speed of pictures?

I had similar problems but so far have seemed to have solved it, the cpu range after the latest update shows 300-800 but the update also added the superuser app. So download setcpu app. (You can find it free if you Google it) and set the cpu range from 400-1000. And on demand. I've never had the problem since, apparently too low cpu values can cause freezing, i assume the 300 is right on that limit.
