Question about installing custom ROMs

I am comfortable with using nvflash to flash the device.

I just bought my gtab from woot. (Yes I am a one of those.) It is not my first android tab (I also have a ZT-180.)

I got the latest fw from viewsonic 3358.

Does this limit me in what custom roms I can install?

Does this mean I cannot install CW on the tab, because of a new BL in 3358?

I read that 3358 has a new BL that is similar to CW?

On a side note, I would love to help develop for any of the custom ROMs. My background is in embedded development (primarily BLs and embedded Linux) for the last 16+ years.

Your bootloader is fine, most of the ROMs are off that one. As always you should carefully read the notes with the ROM, it will tell you if there are any known issues.

CW does work on that version

No, should be good with most ROMS

If you want to get into cooking, I would check in over at the xda-developers.com forum for development, that is where most of the experienced chefs hang out.

I installed TnT Lite 4.4

This still has the TnT Settings application. Is there anyway to get the stock froyo one?

I need to be able to configure the wireless for 802.1x eap for work and the TnT one does not have the settings for it.
