Hi everyone,

I'm in possesion of a few polaroid tablets.
They are working fine, but I was checking the hardware recently and I saw these models should contain a Allwiner Cortex a8 1.4Ghz.

However I've downloaded a few apps which all say the CPU speed is 1.2Ghz.

I've already opened the tab but the cpu chip doesn't have any usefull info.

Can anyone tell me if there's a way to check the actual speed of the cpu? ( Does a8 1.4ghz even exist? )

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi opti, those apps you've downloaded should be giving you the actual speed of your CPU. You'll find the specs for that chip here: Cortex-A8 Processor - ARM The specs show what the chips are rated at, but they can be overclocked to perform at higher speeds.

Allwinners are 1.2 mine are advertised as 1.5 but anything above 1.2 causes kernel panic, and tablet reboots.
