R103 vs T103

Can someone explain the difference between the R103 and T103? It doesn't make sense why someone would want to buy the T103 when the R103 is cheaper and has more memory and gets better end-user reviews. The included SD cards don't seem to justify the additional cost. And the R103 seems to have more pixels than the T103. Is one older than the other?

I could be wrong but I think the R103 is 256mb and the T103 is 512mb. I have the T103 and love it. I mostly download books from my public library as well as check my email and facebook.

The R103 has more pixels and appears to be getting better reviews. Do you know if they have the same processor?

I plan on mostly reading PDFs and occasionally surfing the web, but it would be nice to be future proofed.

R stands for Reader, and it has a Resistive touch screen. Resistive touch requires your fingernail or a stylus.

T stands for Tablet, and it has a Capacitive touch screen that can be used with just a touch of your finger. Might support multi-touch input like an iPad.

Hope this helps!

I tried a resitive touch screen Archos and it drove me nuts. I would stay away from any resistive screen. I own the Cruz T-103 and Viewsonic g-tablet both have capacitive screens.
