I'm new to this tablet game, and I'm not really sure what an extender or repeater really does. I've changed out the cables from my modem to the router, and moved it about 10 feet closer to the next room, but just 20 feet away from it, my tablet seems to continually drop the signal. I don't really know if it's the router (Belkin 182), or the Tablet (a Vizio tablet, and a Chinese unbranded tablet).
I have several questions:
The router does not have an antenna, nor a place to plug one in.
Do you think a repeater that is only 20-30 feet from the original router is going to help my tablets?
Will there be issues with competing signals? Not sure exactly how a repeater works.
Maybe a stronger router would solve the problem?
