Welcome to the forum

For the most part those things you see in the gallery are not really the images. I'm guessing you're concerned about the space requirements but most of those are like shortcuts to the actual file. Hope that helps.

I do not want images from my app to be stored in the gallery for data security reasons...Is there a way to block that ?

Use your favorite file manager and create a blank file named .nomedia in the folders you want to protect.

Then the folder will be skipped for gallery (as well as other Google apps like Play Music)

It may take a reboot, or running the app RescanMedia before they disappear from Gallery.
