Removing widgets from home screen

Since I'm a total newbie at this tablet thing....I accidentally put some widgets on my home screen that I don't want there. How do I remove them? HELP, please!! Thanks in advance!

Probably need to know....I'm using asus transformer prime. thanks again

Long press on the widget and a garbage can should appear. Drag the widget to the can and drop it in.
