Root Coby 7065 via ADB or Recovery

"UnlockRoot" did no harm because it could never connect to 7065.
But I had success with re-installing stock version then doing the update.

One last question
Where can I find CWM for the 7065. One installed doesn't have backup/recovery?

Its a complete cw recovery you can make backups and restore them, I have the recovery flashed to my tablet.

I don't care for stock recovery, the recovery backs up data cache system boot, you don't need to back up recovery partition.

Saw second post, d/l zip and tried to flash it. These are results

You can't flash from stock recovery, you have to boot from sdcard then install zip after that your stock recovery gets replaced by cw recovery.

That's been explained in 1st post.

uImage_recovery

extract 7065_root.zip

place uImage_recovery on your micro sdcard, power off tablet.

hold volume up, press and hold power for 5 seconds release power keep holding volume til you see cw recovery.

use cw recovery to navigate to zip and flash it.

Try the solution a few posts above this, it works

i downloaded the zip,
extracted the zip,
placed the file "uImage_recovery" and "Root_Coby_7065" on micro sd
then powered off
pressed the volume +
and the power button
after 5 seconds released the power button,
get that screen that you showed above
and select to "install from SD CARD"
AND SAYS ABORTED after...

My Coby is brand new! out the box...
