We have in intriguing new rumor regarding the next generation of the Google Nexus 7 tablet. According to the latest intel, the new Nexus 7 will be launched in Taiwan by the end of this month. This leaked info came with some additional details too. We have a spec list and some pricing. Supposedly the new Nexus 7 16GB (Model Asus K008) will be $229.99 and the 32GB version (Model Asus K009) will be $299.99. It's worth noting that while both of these named devices are a bit more expensive than the previous generation, both of these specific models also include LTE support, which is what is adding to the cost. There is no word on whether a non-LTE version will be offered. Here's a spec breakdown for the K009:
  • ASUS K009/ME571K
  • Snapdragon APQ8064 processor
  • JDI made LT070ME05000 liquid crystal panel
  • 2GB of RAM
  • Storage capacity of 32GB
  • 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixels front camera
