Why is it that there are always apps running in the background, even when I close them they restart themselves? Apps like Yahoo mail, skype, markets, google, some games, so on and so on. Is there a way to stop them from running or is it a Huawei thing?

It's an android thing! Try fast reboot from the market and set it to run on every unlock.

Look for a memory manager and/or task killer in the market and set them to autokill
