I searched but only came up with a few old (2012) replies. Is there a good app (recommend?) to do this?

I've been to google play, but if I had my answer I wouldn't be asking the question here.

Not looking for anything fancy, just trying to save a screen image occasionally.

Thanks. I have a Lenovo A8-5500 if it matters.

Press Volume Down and the Power button at the same time, hold them for a little time and your tablet should automatically take a screenshot of your current screen.

Lollipop has native support for screen recording. I believe prior to Lollipop, one needed to be rooted. Which Android version do you have?

I have 4.4.2 which I believe is KitKat.

    The suggestion made works fine.

Just in case anyone is interested. Since my tablet has only wifi, I can't rely on it to work reliably in airports. So if the day before I download my boarding pass, I can't retrieve it when I need to show it. So taking a pic of it works, as I don't need a wifi link to show it at the gate.

There's no need for an app.. Just press volume down and power button at the same time.
