Screen freezes

My husband bought me a Coby Kyros for Christmas to play games and read books. The screen freezes both when using the stylus and if I use my fingertip. It freezes during games, and does not easily scroll to read the book lists. I am not very tech savy, what am I doing wrong? Thanks

What do you mean exactly by freeze? (only the screen doesn't respond or the whole tablet)
It could be that you run out of RAM or your CPUs overloaded, try also calibrating your screen.
