Screen won't timeout

Hello,

I just bought a new Galaxy Note Tab. Today my display stopped turning off. Now it stays on all the time. I have the screen timeout set to 5 minutes, but it doesn't ever timeout.
I googled this, trying to find an answer, and following another user that had this problem, I downloaded and installed AnyScreenTimout - but this doesn't work for me either.

Help! My battery doesn't last long this way!!

Hi Amber, welcome to the forum

I assume you haven'[t had the chance to install anything that would interfere with the screen timeout. Do a factory reset. If that doesn't solve the problem get it exchanged if you can. That my be an indication of something else going on. I also assume you didn't get into settings and do something like stay awake settings or something.

You do know tht a tap of the power button would do it in a pinch, for the time being, right?
