Hello Everyone,

I just received this tablet from a friend and I'm having problems.

Its a Coby Kyros Model mid7015............

When ever I try to go into FaceBook or my E-mail I get this:

Security Warning, There are problems with the Security Certificate for this site.
The name of the site does not match the name on the certificate.

I did a restore back to factory settings, but didn't work.

Is there anyone that can help with this?

What year is set on your tablet? Fix date, month, day, year to correct date.

The date, month, year are correct, all ready did this.
Still, security warning comes up.

This issue has nothing to do with the tablet itself, but has to do with one of the servers between you and Facebook or your email not being configured properly.

How would I go about and fix this?

The Security Warning mostly comes on a website,
like Facebook or my E-mail, yet I can get on You Tube.

Change your DNS servers in your router. That may well fix the problem. Otherwise, all you can do is wait for someone in some far off land that maintains that particular server to do their job and get their certificate resigned.

I'd suggest you follow the instructions you'll find by following the link Traveller gave you and use 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server fields.

If the router accepts a third server address (like mine), use 8.8.8.8, which is Google's DNS server.
