Hello all,

I have a TV, w/o DLNA and just bought my Tablet S (to arrive this week :)

I pretend to put a DLNA player trough HDMI to my tv, i.e.

Sony SMP-N100
http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666261253

o
r

WD TV Live
http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=330

and then send video from my Tablet S.

is it possible? my main concern is that I dont know if that is enough or if I need a separate DLNA server...

If it is enough, what else can I send from my Tablet S? I guess audio, video and pictures but dont know what about power point presentations...

THANK YOU ALL!!!

PS:

WD TV Live Hub

i dont believe any of these support dlna throw. when they refer to dlna server they just mean you can stream through a dlna device. dlna throw that sony refers to is a bit different. it also only works with sony's native music and pic apps, so it wont work with a power point file unless sony has an app for that, which as far as i'm aware they dont.

You could save your powerpoint as a movie file that is compatible with the sony media player on the tablet and throw that, then use pause on the player if u need to stop the slide show.

Here are a few options you can review. I've used each for DLNA streaming and found both very useful

A Free DLNA Media Server For Mac, Windows, and Linux

Twonky :: Connected Home :: Stream Your Media to Devices on Your Network
you have to install these DLNA apps (server) on your PC or Mac; upon a simple and successful install you can control streaming with your tablet via web browser

If you do not have a PC or Mac to install these apps you can use imediashare from the android market to stream movies, pictures, music from your tablet

Hope this helps
