Simple way to power off Lenovo IdeaTab A2109A?

I want to quickly and positively power off my A2109A. Is there an app that acts as a power button?

I have been able to turn it off with airplane mode, I think. With a secret combination, I choose a setting, and the tab asks me if I really want to power off.

Otherwise, I seem to be stuck with the power button, which seems to suspend everything. I think.

Must be a simpler way...

I see a number of power off apps, and they all seem to require... rooting.

Root app that will work on JB and A2109?

If you're not rooted, take a look at Generic Toggle Widget. It can be programmed to do all sorts of things and multiple things with a single press. I'm using it to toggle my WiFi on/off and it works great.

I'm sure it was in the super detailed user's manual, and I just did not see it for all the verbage...

To power your A2109 fully off, simply press and hold the power button down for about 5 seconds. Up comes a menu box (yes, Windows terminology) with the top choice being "Power Off". Choose it, you are asked "Your tablet will shut down", Cancel / OK. Tablet shows "Shutting Down", followed by the vibrator for @ 2 sec.
