So you had to Restore/Recover/Re-root your awesome Nook Color?

I know that each person and hardware is different, but I am working on a very concise and thorough write-up of dealing with the dreaded "Cooked Nook"

In the effort of completeness, I am asking the entire community to please give me a short write-up of their experiences in the format given below. I am trying to make sure I cover the different situations as best as I can. Thanks for your input!

Issue: Boot Loop

Description: When I tried to power on the NC, it would load the "Touch the Future of Reading" screen, flash briefly, and reboot back to the "Touch" screen. Holding 'N' to force recovery did NOT work. 8-Interrupt did NOT work.

Solution: CWR bootable SD with 'Restore_stock_1.0.0' zip, then re-rooted

Issue: Boot Loop into CWR (Clockwork Recovery)

Description: I created a CWR boot loop when I tried unrooting my device without first uninstalling CWR, now I am stuck constantly booting into CWR and restoring a backup doesn't work.

I have lost my sound capabilities and have had to reboot to acquire them again. Also the web browser gets stuck and requires a reboot.

What version of OS are you running?

Any custom ROMS or Overclock kernels?

A little more detail and we should be able to point you in the right direction.
