Sony Tablet Wont Power Down

Anyone else running into a problem with their tablet NOT wanting to power down/Off?.
Ive ran intonseveral instances where I've held the on/off key had the "Turn power off dialog box"open selected shut down only to have the working icon continuosly run and the tablet never power off. Only fix ive found is to use the reset feature.

Any possible solutions??

My guess(and it is only that) would be a rogue app refusing to close quitely. Have you tried going into the Running tab of the apps settings screen and closing any extra running apps (assuming you have any)?
