Hi

I am unable to set up my outgoing smtp email on my tablet.

Incoming server settings

I am using IMAP with no security type, and no IMAP path prefix. This seems to work.

Outgoing server settings

I am using smtp with no security I change my port from the (default 587) to 25.

The error message, reads "Authentication methods are not supported by server"

I have checked all settings with ISP provider, also tried alternate servers with that provider


I have contacted Sony they have checked with my isp with no luck and have escalated twice without an answer.

I also use the xperia arc and have my email working well.

Has any one else experienced these problems?

I have a new Sony S Tablet and have the same problem with email. Any suggestions?
