Sound on Disgo 8100 poor

Hi Guys

Has anyone with a Disgo 8100 tablet have any problems with the sound on the device, with mine you can hardly here the sound and it is not much better with head phones, is this normal or should I send it back, or is there anything I can do do improve it. I have turned up the volume for media also. This is my first tablet so dont know what kind of sound to expect.
