Speaker sound despite headphones

I've noticed that even tough I can plug in headphones and get sound through them just fine, sound still comes out of the tablet's speakers. This happens on my wife's and my friend's A100s as well, so I'm pretty sure it's a consistent issue. Has anyone found a fix for this?

Mine does it when I plug it into my car. Mine doesn't do it if I play the music first then plug in the aux cord. Give that a try. If it doesn't work the first time just unplug and plug back in to the headphone jack and see if that works

Supposedly a 3.1 issue that 3.2.1 should take care of.

All a100s shipped with 3.2 (reason given by Acer why the a100 was delayed 6 months). Mine is running 3.2, and still exhibits this sound problem.

You are right, 3.2 has the bug. However, "3.2.1" takes care of it.

How do you get 3.2.1? When I check for update it says my device is up to date. Is there another way?

Is has been released by region and model #. I have looked around but nothing on a manual download.

Upon further research it seems like it has not been released to the US market yet.

The A100 was reported to be scheduled for an Ice Cream Sandwich update in mid-January. Hopefully that will include a fix for the problem.

I had the same issue; I just tried this and it works. So still a bug but I have a work around.

Worked for me too. Thanks, it was really starting to annoy me.
