Stuck on Android icon

Hi, just got a mini tablet with Android 2.2 and got a problem hope someone can help. first started it worked fine however put in a usb and it showed it was loading and then froze, only option was to "force off", unfortunately now when I try to turn on, it goes tot he Android dancing stage and stays there, it doesnt continue to the home page, not sure what to do, any suggestions?
