Hello and thanks in andvance for any help. I recently rooted my HTC Sensation 4g. I'm having trouble conecting my unrooted Thrive to my phone for use as a mobile hotspot. I first used barnacle wifi and that conected to my laptop with no problem but wasn't even recognized by my Thrive. I decided after doing some research to use WiFi Tether to see if that works. It works with the laptop with no problem. My thrive recognizes it but when I try to connect it stays on obtaining ip address and then eventually goes to being disabled. I have tried using different versions of the app and also different device profiles under the app's settings even though there isn't a htc sensation listed on the drop down menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
