Superpad 111 Android 2.2 just whirring on start

I have just received Superpad 111 android 2.2 as a gift and it has worked fine for three days. When I now try to start it I just get a whirring noise which I suspect is the hard drive? The only way to stop this noise is to press the reset button but nothing appears on the screen. I have tried the reset POWER, MENU, HOME button but still get the whirring noise and a blank screen.
Is there anything I can do or is it beyond repair?
