Tablet PC Apps

I am new to this site and only know the basics about tablet pcs so here goes, a cheap 3g 10.1 tablet was brought for my mum who is in hospital and knows nothing about them thats why they got her a cheaper one with a dongle to power 3g. That is working ok and i have managed to down load tv apps from play store with no trouble except for BBC MEDIA PLAYER which for some reason will not download,it comes up with ERROR -101all the time can anyone advise why and how it can be overcome bearing in mind im not a wizz on tablets so simple jargon please,many thanks guys and girls.Chris
