Teaming an android tablet with an asus eee 700

I have an asus eee 700 pc - the original with the 7" screen. I teach in 5 different classrooms. I would like to take it with me - it has an 8 hour battery life, even using wifi (extended battery) to connect it to the classrooms rj45 and lc projector. It has Linux Mint on it. I am thinking of buying a "generic" tablet with android 2.3 on it to carry about with me in class and use it to control the eee using both pc's wifi. Is this possible? easy?
