What is, Tethering, also, if you have a cell phone with a 3G connection to the internet, can you utilize that connection to connect a tablet to the internet. If so, are there any advantages to using that connection, over using a free WiFi signal that may be available to you, ALSO, can you connect a 4G tablet to a cell phone with a 3G internet connection?

Tethering, is exactly what you described, sharing your cell phones service with another device.

The main reason to do this is when no wifi spots are available.
