The Final Fix for WiFi is?

I hope to be able to get to the bottom of the wifi issue like everyone else ( I have tried the updated driver and that doesnt work ) but until then, I will keep on keeping on with this tablet. I don't believe it is in the driver. I am thinking that it is in the "wake" mode area. I can leave it running with the screen brightness all the way down and idle and it never loses connection. The second I put it into a sleep mode, it drops. There is a missing reload string in the wake mode... and it sometimes loses screen tap to wake too.

I'm not so sure its not a driver issue (double negative, sorry).
It still could be, or it could be hardware issue where the speaker cable in close proximity to the wifi unit causing interference.
Or maybe its just just plain poor wifi hw or fw.

There are enough of us out there with issues with random wifi disconnects when not in sleep mode, i.e. surfin the web, but whether this is connected is uncertain.

One thing is sure though, the sleep mode issue is not the only wifi issue with these units, and like you I also have loaded the latest wifi driver, to no avail.
