The highly successful mobile chipset maker, Qualcomm is set to light our summer on fire with their latest technology, the Snapdragon 800. At a media event in Beijing, Senior Product Manager Yufei Wang shared that the new superchip will go into mass production toward the end of May this year. To recap, here's a quote from an older AnandTech article with several of the improvements this new Krait 400-based chip brings to the table,

What's interesting to consider is that the current king of the Snapdragon's, the 600, performs almost on par with Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa-core. Considering the improvements in the newer generation Snapdragon 800, it is probably a safe bet it will actually outperform Samsung's latest flagship. We look forward to seeing the benchmarks this summer. Sadly, no info was given as to what future devices we will see with this chipset.
