Thumbdrive like 3g device

Will usb 3g wifi devices work in the usb port? Was thnking about Virgin Mobile device. I knew the more expensive device that supports up to 5 wifi connections works, but the usb device is $40 cheaper. Btw, walmart has broadband2go for $20 for 1gb.

I know that there are a couple of devs working on this for some of the tablets over at XDA, I will see what is what with that. I am pretty sure this has already been done on the Zenithink tablets.
