I've heard using either of these two ROMS will result in a much faster, more usable tablet.

I am in need of a faster, more usable tablet!

Anyone have any experience with either of these ROMS?

Do I need to upgrade the firmware [thing that says 0.6.1.5()]???

I keep reading I need this 0.6.1.5(587) firmware, is this the case?

I know i've skirted around these questions in the past, and just don't want to bother the folks at xda-developers...

    thanks in advance,

    paul

I went to the XDA forum link you provided and followed the directions to the letter. Flashed from SD. Everything seemed to be working fine but now I am unable to conect to online services other than the internet. No market, email, or Skype. Is there a fix for this?
