Todo Tablet?

I have recently purchased a Todo Tablet running Android 2.2. Upon searching info for this tablet, I have only found a couple places on the web that provide information on a Todo 8 Tablet. I am starting to think that this is a Chinese brand tablet. Is anyone familiar with this brand? Does this tablet cross reference to a brand name? I would like to root it for linux but do not want to dive into this blindly and make a large paper weight out of it.

Update:
Downloaded z4root and ran on tablet as temporary root. Seemed to temp root but have not pulled the trigger and do a permanent root as I can not find a rom to reinstall in case I brick it. Also tried to download firefox for android but could not as it says Chinese tablet not supported. One step forward and two steps back.
