Transfer Files

Hello everyone, just received a Android 2.1 Tablet C-MID-7""Touch Screen-Track Ball. When I connect the tablet to my laptop, I get a msg saying to select "mount" to transfer files. But there is nowhere for me to click or select mount. When I drag the notification bar down, I can either turn the USB off or on. Didn't get the cd-rom. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
