Transferring Contacts To New Samsung Galaxy Tab

Hi,
I would be grateful if anyone could help me.
I've just bought Samsung Tab p1000 (7") and it is a fantastic device.
My tablet is locked to Optus but I can use TPG SIM card without any problem because they are using OPTUS network. I can also use my Tab as a phone if I put my old SIM card from my mobile phone. However I cannot transfer any contacts stored in SIM card to Galaxy Tab. I tried Kies but it only synchronized with my outlook email contacts. Please help.

I think you can sync android phone contacts to google account.If you have not google account,you can register one.Sync android contacts to google account ,then transfer contacts from google account to another android phone.
