trouble with connecting to my internet

Can any one help me with connecting the wifi internet with my home bigpond. My tablet does see the bigpond connection but it disconnets after a few seconds. Any suggestions, Please
help

Have your tried disabling the security on your wireless router just to see if it connects? Our maybe resetting it.
