Barnes & Noble is providing a firmware update for NOOK Color that contains exciting new features and provides ongoing performance improvements. Among the new features, NOOK Color v1.3 now offers access to special edition NOOK Magazines with enhanced interactivity and bonus features. The software update will be automatically downloaded to devices that are registered and connected to Wi-Fi®, beginning the week of August 22nd. There's no need for you to take any action. However, if you'd prefer to update your device immediately, the software update is also available via a manual download offered here, with further instructions below.
