Upgrade

A couple of questions.
1. I have an acer a100 tablet and was wondering how I would go about upgrading to android 4.0.
2. Is it even worth it and are there any risks involved?

You will have to wait for Acer to roll out ICS for your tablet. Even though ICS is out, it is not like other devices (fruity ones in particular) that you can just go get it. Apple makes the hardware and software. On Android, Google makes the OS, others make the hardware. It is up to the hardware OEM to make sure the software runs well. I am sure Acer is busy getting ICS ready to be rolled out to the A500 and A100 as we speak. When it is ready, you should get an update notification.

You will also see a bunch of threads in the Acer forum that ICS is out.

If you were to try to install it early, you would be running a lot of risks IMO.
