USB connection to the Mac?

eh, I just bought the 13 $ sony tablet usb convert cable from sony store today, well, it seems another end of cable support a normal size usb head (so not the small head of a standard usb cable,but the bigger head). So in order to connect it to my Mac, i just bought one dual headed usb cable...but what showed up on the tablet screen is like "blank USB storage: unsupported file system"...Does anyone have the same problem as mine? or is it really possible for the sony tablet to connect onto a mac using usb cable? Thanks~~
