Can someone brighter then me tell me why I can't see my USB drive on my Iconia. It is a 8gB flash drive formatted as FAT32.

I plug it in and the green Led flashes. If I go to settings/Storage it shows up as 5G available. However both AndroXplorer and FileManager HD (the two file managers I have tried) do not allow me to access it or show it in any way.

I use EStrong ES File Explorer. It works fine.

But in true Linux fashion, it does not show you a separate device.
It auto-mounts the drive at /mnt/usb_storage
So navigate to the root of your tablet with your file manage, then down to /mnt, then to usb_storage. You should see it there.

And the reason your drive blinks is because the goddamed Photobrowsing service that jumps into memory automatically starts scanning any usb stick you plug in for photos. Very irritating, because it tries to index all of them into your Gallery.

Thanks heaps Icebike. That worked a treat. Now just have to figure out how to play the stuff.

Cheers
