    Hi all,

I'm trying to connect a serial device to my tablet. I tried using USB OTG connector and I use PL2303 adapter. The only thing it seems to be doing is drawing power from the device.

I did insmod pl2303.ko successfully and there are no errors in dmesg, but there is also no message saying that a device in /dev was created.

Also if I reboot tablet with device still in I get the following message:

ERROR: dwc_otg_hcd_hub_controller Attached device Not supported: 1727

Could anybody push me in the direction on how to get Serial connection on the tablet - either through USB or there is a way to open a Serial port somehow?

    Thank you!

    Good question, man.
Do you think there is any Serial port support in android or any android app?
Guess you have a bigger chance with Linux on Android (Google it) + mknod.
