    Hello

I know it's a strange question but can I use an android tablet as a powerbank to charge my phone? Does it charge when the tablet is in standby mode? I ask this questions because I thought for the price of a powerbank I could pay a little more and get an android tablet. I use my Macbook Air all the time as a powerbank but because I'm on the road now with my motorcycle, the tablet would be handier.

    Thanks

Hello SanderK, welcome to the forum. Nice of you to become a member of Android Tablets. Several people are using a spare battery pack or battery as a "powerbank" to charge their tablets, so I can't think why it wouldn't work in reverse. Especially since it works with your "other" device.;) Another option might be to wire a car charger for your phone into the motorcycle circuitry. (12V is 12V wherever it comes from.)
