Verizon just officially launched their two new tablets for the holiday season, the 10.1 Inch Motorola Droid XYBoard and the 8.2 Inch Motorola Droid XYBoard. These are basically the Motorola XOOM 2 tablets that we heard rumors about previously. For more discussions about these new tabs, head over here: Motorola XYBoard Forum. Here is the official press release:

These must have been in the works because otherwise Moto is just not in touch with reality. Really who will buy these at these prices with a contract? Especially with the arrival of Asus's Transformer Prime, and of other Tegra 3 tablets in Q1 of 2012. This is really unbelievable to me, but owning a Logitech Revue Google TV box, I know that Google has the potential to screw up. It was said that 2011 would be the year of the tablet computer, and it was in many ways, but I believe that it was just a warm-up for 2012. We're gonna see some powerful Android tablets in 2012.
