UPDATE - After all that playing around, I just discovered the Vegan 5.1.1 rom CAN connect to the adhoc network. I did install the hydtech adhoc program but am now using the original wpa supplicant file! So, whoever is running vegan 5.1.1 and has the OG droid, it is confirmed that you can easily make the connection but you may still have to purchase the hydtech program. Now I'm glad I played around with this!!!! I also noticed the TNT build contains the same files needed to connect to an adhoc network properly. The gtab is #1!
