What is the best anti malware for Android tablet

Hi all I am a new android tablet user and I am unsure as to weather android needs anti viral or malware protection. Any direction would be appreciated.

There are free anti-malware apps available on the markets if you feel you need one. I'm using Lookout on mine with no apparent performance issues.

There is no real need for AV at this time. Just download apps from reputable sites. But there are free AV apps but they don't work well since there is not a.large virus database for android.
