I just received an aPad in the mail today and I've realized that youtube doesn't work & the app market is adjusted to some weird chinese server so i only get like 20 apps shown total. That's a tad frustrating to me considering how I purchased an android tablet to mess around with apps and to be able to go on youtube without being on my desktop. But yeah. Uh. It's got a red LED and a webcam 256mb memory generic model number firmware version 1.6 2.6.29-00236-g4f8dbbb-dirty kernel version 1.9 build number I basically just want access to the real app market and to be able to use youtube. I assume I'm going to have to update the firmware by flashing the ROM or something but I'd really like it if there was an easier, less-risky way. Help/answers much appreciated Thanks.
Sounds like a FlyTouch, but without pics, it's impossible to tell. Read http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...1-how-side-load-apps-if-market-wont-work.html for downloading and installing apps if your tablet din't come with Android Market.

And how on earth do I plug a microSD into this? Whatever way I put it in it just doesn't want to stay in there.
Yes, that's a "Flytouch" afaics. Don't know much about it, besides it runs the "less than ideal" VIA chipset. No idea how to get Youtube videos to play smooth. Also, the sd card should (I presume) just snap in /snap out. If it doesn't, perhaps the card slot is damaged somehow.
