Which firmware to use?

It seems that there are often multiple firmware images available for a device. For example, Witstech A81E has a firmware update on the Merimobiles site, and there are also firmware images available at the Witstech website. Which of these would be more reliable? Since Witstech is the manufacturer, would they're firmware image be reliable? Where does Merimobiles even get their images?

It is the same image. Unless you use a community build, All of the vendors who sell Witstech, get their Firmware from the same location. The Chinese WITStech site.

How about a case like the Herotab C8? There's a firmware image at Merimobiles for that. It's basically the same as the HaiTab M7, right? I don't actually see a firmware for the M7 on the HaiPad site. Where did Merimobiles get that image? Would I be able to use that image on a Dropad A8?

Sorry if these are stupid questions. I'm trying to figure out what my support options are if I buy one of these Chinese models.

Hi found a link for updating firmware. I have not tried it yet on my haipad.
